Monsignor Slocum Remembrance Mass- Very Rev Father Sullivan

Waterbury, Monsignor Slocum Division #1 is named in honor of Monsignor Slocum, who was chaplain for the Fighting Ninth Regiment of CT, instrumental in acquiring the land for St. Mary’s Hospital, opening New St. Joseph’s Cemetery, and building an addition for St. Mary’s school. Very Reverend Father Sullivan (Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) will celebrate a mass at New St. Joseph’s cemetery on Hamilton Ave. Waterbury.
